The ENMAX Centrium, is a landmark of Central Alberta. This multi-use facility accommodates concerts, hockey, motor sports, ice shows, major curling events, circuses, boxing, rodeos, wrestling, trade shows, marching band competitions, and conventions, all of which find a comfortable fit. Recognizing the vast variety of events, seating configurations range from 2,000 to 7,819.
The Enmax Centrium is home to the Red Deer Rebels.
Every show can have that “full house” atmosphere as floor-to-ceiling divider curtains mask off the unused portions of seating. In 2012, the ENMAX Centrium expansion was completed. The recent expansion offers 13 more luxury suites, a new 40 seat club suite and an additional 1,000 seats. In 2015 the arena was improved with new LED lighting, sound upgrades, and was retrofitted with state of the art dashers system – spring loaded rink boards, cast acrylic and soft rubber caps.
The new dashers system is designed to enhance player safety and improve puck play. The most up-to-date lighting, communications, and audio/visual systems have been incorporated into the ENMAX Centrium’s design. A great deal of emphasis was placed on acoustics, so visitors can expect to hear concert-sound quality. Our arena meets National Hockey League standards and is the leader in efficiency and safety in the Western Hockey League.
