There are two ice rinks in the arena, which are called the East rink and West rink. You can also find two halls, a used clothes depot (Depot Gamelin), a snack bar and a swimming pool called Stephane Lecours.
This Recreation Centre was opened in 1979 and named for Claude Larose, the first Hearst resident to play for the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the NHL from 1965 to 1978.
