Allard Arena

The Allard Skating Rink is a great source of pride for our residents, providing a fun place to build community and get outside during the winter months. The rink was opened in the winter of 2013 and has a rinkside shack for changing skates and warming up.

The Allard Rink is operated and maintained by the Blackmud Creek Community League. All updates on rink status as well as contact information about the rink can be found here.

Essential Allard Rink Information
Allard Skating RinkSeasonal rink opening times are entirely weather dependent. Winter temperatures need to be stable for at least a week before the rink can be flooded. Typically, flooding the snow bank happens on or around the first week of December but remember to check the Blackmud Creek Community League Page for the most up-to-date information.

The Allard Rink can be booked year-round, either for a single use or on a recurring basis.

The rink is available for hockey team rentals in the winter, subject to booking by the Blackmud Creek Community League and other team sports (Lacrosse) during off-season months.

The rink can also be used for private bookings in the winter (birthdays, etc.) on Saturdays from 9am – noon, subject to availability.

There are rentals fees to use the rink so please consult the Blackmud Creek Community League page.
